Barcelona has become during the last years a great Shopping City, with a very complete and competitive offer, very personal and original in lots of sectors; fashion, design objects, typical products, etc).

Shopping in Barcelona To go shopping in Barcelona, is a real pleasure, for the helpfulness and friendliness of the shopkeepers, for the shops themselves and for the easiness of a human sized city, where the shopping areas are easily identified, following the "Shopping Line".

Along the "line", the shopping areas are easy to define: C. Pelai and Rda. Universitat are rather popular. Down Pl. Catalunya, the maze of little streets of Portal de l'Àngel, Porta Ferrissa and C. del Pí are full of little, original and good value shops.

The more expensive and chic shops are located in Pg. de Gràcia, Rbla. Catalunya and close by streets. Also in Diagonal avenue from Pg. de Gràcia up to Francesc Macià square. Of course you'll make even better buys during special periods, such as Christmas, or during the sales (rebajas in Spanish, rebaixes in Catalan).

Souvenir in Barcelona You'll find the "souvenir" stuff in the little shops of La Rambla. And also at the stalls installed by the end of La Rambla close to  Columbus monument.

Also in these shops, or at El Corte Inglés, the Barça's fans will find all kind of things evoking the club. There is an interesting selection of beautiful objects related to Barcelona at the Tourist Information under Catalunya Square.

El Mercat de la Boqueria Take also your time to stroll around in El Mercat de la Boqueria, just by las Ramblas close to Theatre Liceu. This is the most popular and large market in Barcelona. If you fancy any kind of food, rest assured you will find it there.

Catalan ceramic Of special interest are Catalan ceramics, traditional as well as trendy ones. These and other craft works are found at the temporary stands that you'll find either down La Rambla, Portal de l'Àngel, Pl. del Pí, at the Cathedral or the Port Olímpic. Also check the small shops in the Old Town.

Apart from ceramics, Barcelona is well known for its leather and fur fashion and for fine shoes and accessories. Check also our good wines and delicatessen.
